Net Worth 2023:
Early Life:
SosMula was born Vinny Sosa on the 19th of April 1994 in São Paulo, Brazil. After spending the first couple of years of his life living in the city, his father Paul Sosa, and his mother Anna Lima moved to the United States in 1996. The family spent the next 9 years in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where his father worked construction and his mother Anna used to work at a tattoo parlor. Sos was 12 years old when his family moved from the Lower East Side to the Upper east side. While there his dad was always out of the house and his mom moved back to Brazil around the time he entered the 9th grade. As a result, he turned to the streets of Spanish Harlem to finish the job of raising him. Soon afterward he met a couple of drug dealers all of whom began calling him Sos. From that point forward Sos found himself looking up to all these ill-advised role models. At this point, Sos had already learned how to do rap but never figured out how to capitalize on his skills. At the age of 13 Sos spent most of his teenage years selling drugs and taking part in so many robberies. By the age of 16 he caught his first weapon charge, he was brought in by police for firing his weapon in public. Luckily he was released on bail. He then started working in construction like his father but that only lasted one week.
Career:
In 2016 SosMula moved out of Spanish Harlem and relocated to Brooklyn where he collaborated with the artist ZillaKami. While growing up Sos’s main hobby was music and he collected as many CDs as a kid, inspired by popular rappers such as Yong Thug, Future, Cheif Keif, and 50 Cent. He began writing his own tracks in the seventh grade. Sos teamed up with ZilaKami and these two hit the ground running joining forces under the collective name known as City Morgue. They began releasing tracks on SoundCloud and garnered millions of streams. With the help of producer THRAXX, they two released his singles like “Shinners 13,” “Wardog Anthem,” and “SK8 Head”. After dropping countless cuts on SoundCloud the team found mainstream success by performing at South by Southwest and then released their debut studio album called CITY MORGUE VOL 1: HELL OR HIGH WATER. They continued to release further projects such as VOL 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD and CITY MORGUE VOLUME 3: BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. In August of 2021, SosMula released his debut solo mixtape titled 13 SONGS 2 DIE 2 which features singles like Vanilla Sky and Criminal. During the worldwide pandemic, he recorded more than 300 tracks on his own. A half a year later, Sos dropped his second solo project 2 HIGH 2 DIE in April of 2023.
